Art in my East Tennessee home...

Prayers for the beautiful Smoky Mountains...

Smoky Mountain Sunset

Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains hold many happy and fun memories for me and for our family and dear friends...professional conferences at the beautiful Park Vista, walking the streets of downtown Gatlingburg, enjoying Dollywood, the Wilderness, the Art District and so many other wonderful places. My heart goes out to all who are battling the fires that will forever change the face of this beautiful part of Tennessee.

Tennesseans are tough and resilient, yet we are heart broken.

As I painted this 10x20 acrylic on canvas, I whispered prayers for all who have lost their homes, businesses, lives and family members. For all those there (even our own Mountain City fire fighters) to help, prayers are lifted for you.

This is so touching, Temple. It's a beautiful painting, but holds so much power because of the prayers painted into it.

My dear friend, thank you so much. That means a lot coming from you. You are such a good example and I am often quiet and listen to hear in my mind what you would tell me. Even when we don't see each other...you are close by. Love you very much and Im so happy that you have Alan and Wesley. Wish the world had more people like you.

I have always enjoyed the beauty of the East TN mountains where I was born and raised. I am aware of my blessings and appreciate them. My art shares these blessings with others and instills them deeper inside myself.
