During a busy September week at the farm, I kept seeing and sketching the most beautiful sites and just wanted to get to my easel. On this particular early morning, we were loading cows to take to the cattle market. It was a little earlier than my normal time to be near the farm. The sun has just climbed above the mountain tops while the misty fog lingered between the mountains ranges. I took a photo and tried to keep as many details and feeling of the day in my mind until I could paint it. Using the same style of painting that I would use if painting en plein air, I created this work and hopefully kept the feelings of that morning. At least, that's what I see and experience the same feelings and senses as if I were there again.
