The 2nd Load- Hauling in the Hay was painted in my studio from images in my head and a photo after putting up hay at our farm. My focus was on capturing the light, texture and atmosphere and instilling the beauty of a farmer's summer work. Farmers don't take lightly the daily responsibilities of caring for the animals and the land and I hope this painting brings that to life for you. It is 12 x 24 in oils on linen and was recently on display in the 'Heart of the Land Community Show' at Johnson County Center for the Arts in Mountain City,TN.
