The 2nd Load- Hauling in the Hay was painted in my studio from images in my head and a photo after putting up hay at our farm. My focus was on capturing the light, texture and atmosphere and instilling the beauty of a farmer's summer work. Farmers don't take lightly the daily responsibilities of caring for the animals and the land and I hope this painting brings that to life for you. It is 12 x 24 in oils on linen and was recently on display in the 'Heart of the Land Community Show' at Johnson County Center for the Arts in Mountain City,TN. It was featured in the fall Grapevine Newsletter by American Artists Professional League in "The Story Behind the Painting".
